Stress–strain–temperature relationship for concrete

چکیده

When concrete structures are subjected to load and temperature simultaneously, it is essential take into account the coupled effects between stress expansion. However, due incomplete understanding, such have only been incorporated current Eurocode 2 (EC2) stress–strain curves by means of empirical correlations. These correlations at different target temperatures presented in tables that do not allow clearly identify correlation chosen obtain specific values. A further limitation these relationships cannot be used evaluate performance during cooling phase. In this paper, a physically-based model expansion define strain corresponding compressive strength, thus develop simple formulation for stress–strain–temperature relationship concrete. The results then compared with EC2 table. expression developed paper successfully agrees heating More importantly, proposed can also applicable design purposes

Stress-Strain Relationship of Ca(OH)2-Activated Hwangtoh Concrete

This study examined the stress-strain behavior of 10 calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2)-activated Hwangtoh concrete mixes. The volumetric ratio of the coarse aggregate (V agg) and the water-to-binder (W/B) ratio were selected as the main test variables. Two W/B ratios (25% and 40%) were used and the value of V agg varied between 0% and 40.0%, and 0% and 46.5% for W/B ratios of 25% and 40%, respectivel...

A Study on Relationship Between the Heat Release of Later-age Concrete and the Concrete Strength Development

The adiabatic temperature rise of early-age concrete can be precisely tested by the device. However, the insufficient accuracy of testing device can lead to inaccurate measurements of adiabatic temperature rise of later-age concrete. The purpose of this paper is to create a model to predict the hydration heat of later-age concrete. Based on the previous studies, it is known that the heat releas...

Bond–Slip Relationship for CFRP Sheets Externally Bonded to Concrete under Cyclic Loading

The objective of this paper was to explore the bond-slip relationship between carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and concrete under cyclic loading through experimental and analytical approaches. Modified beam tests were performed in order to gain insight into the bond-slip relationship under static and cyclic loading. The test variables are the CFRP-to-concrete width ratio, and the b...

Concrete Types for TypeScript

TypeScript extends JavaScript with optional type annotations that are, by design, unsound and, that the TypeScript compiler discards as it emits code. This design point preserves programming idioms developers are familiar with, and allows them to leave their legacy code unchanged, while offering a measure of static error checking in parts of the program that have type annotations. We present an...
